Les Quatre Cohan (présentés comme «George M. Cohan et sa famille royale») ont fait leur dernière apparition commune en jouant des Américains vivant à Londres. Encore une fois, une brève série à New York a été suivie par une tournée réussie.
A Londres, un Américain, et neveu d’Andrew Carnigie, Percy Springer découvre l’amour de sa vie, Evelyn Fielding. A son grand regret, son père Franklin a déjà promis la main d’Evelyn au comte de Waymouth. Mais Percy ne renonce pas et s'arrange pour dénoncer les vraies intentions du comte: il se marie pour de l’argent. Percy lui propose un pot-de-vin d’un million de dollars en échange d'une promesse du comte de rompre ses fiançailles avec Evelyn. Mais, Webster et Lloyd, deux escrocs qui s'étaient liés d’amitié avec Percy trahissent ce dernier et convainquent le comte qu’il devrait refuser ce pot-de-vin. Lorsque les Fieldings rentrent chez eux à Chicago, le comte, Webster et Lloyd sont dénoncés au grand jour et Percy (avec l’aide de son ami John Fagan) épouse enfin Evelyn.
